Physics as a way to think

The author of this book, Mikhail Georgievich Ivanov, is the director and creator (together with J.I. Alferov and I.A. Merkulov) the Lyceum "Physico and Technical School". The first parts of the book “Physics as a way to think” are addressed to specific sections of the course of physics. But in them, the author tried to present physics to schoolchildren and their teachers not as a field of certain knowledge, but as a way of view of the world, the form of conversation with the world. This method is revealed in the ability to approach the solution of a variety of life problems by building and testing mental or real models.
"My task is to ask such questions, after the answer to which the subject of discussion will become clear, ”the author writes. In his questions, asked in the course of the book (and there are more than 700 there are here), and in the answers to these questions (there are somewhat less) they can enthusiastically understand the interested seven -grader, a ninth grader, and university applicant. For some of the teachers of physics or leaders of physical circles, this book can be a practical manual, and for some-the reason for thinking about the goals and capabilities of their teaching activities.
