By whom, when and how was each of the chemical elements open? What names did they receive at their “birth”, and are they preserved to this day? Does the Mendeleev table exhaust the whole variety of elements that researchers faced, or, besides known now, there are also elements-pinks, elements and losers? The author of the book, the famous Soviet chemist and science historian Nikolai Alexandrovich Figurovsky, is considering all these issues in a historical context, against the background of the general development of chemistry, in connection with the enrichment of its deposits of large chemical scientists.
Interesting information both researchers, engineers, teachers and students, and all curious readers interested in chemistry will be drawn from the book
