Pyotr Fedorovich Kononkov - Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Honored Worker of Science of Russia, Laureate of the State Prize (2003) and the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation (2013) in the field of science and technology, president of the All -Russian Public Organization "Public Academy of Non -traditional and rare plants". His new book is devoted to little -known pages of the history of biological and agricultural sciences in Russia. The first part tells about the achievements of Academician T.D. Lyusenko and the breeders of his school, an assessment of his theoretical concepts is given from the point of view of modern biology.
