The collection of documents is devoted to the history of economic cooperation between the Council of Economic Mutual Assistance (CMEV) and the Mongol People"s Republic (MPR) Previously not published documents from the funds of leading Russian and Mongolian archives are presented. The collection is based on documents from the Foundations "Secretariat of the Council of Economic Mutual Assistance" and "Permanent Representation of the USSR under the Council of Economic Mutual Assistance", which are stored in the Russian State Archive of the Economics. For the first time, Russian historiography on the basis of archival documents shows the mechanism of interaction between the CMEA apparatus and representatives of an individual country - a member of the CEC (Hungary, the GDR, the USSR, Czechoslovakia, etc) and the MPR increased significantly after the adoption of a comprehensive program of socialist economic integration in 1971. A number of sectors of the national economy of the MPR (exploration, construction, non -ferrous metallurgy, agriculture) received an additional impulse for their development. The consequence of the active participation of the MPR in the work of the Civil Defense and Environmental Council in priority for the country"s national economy was the growth of the economic potential of Mongolia and the improvement of its quality indicators
