The theoretical foundations of the use of software development tools and features of building software for embedded systems using the example of AVR family microcontrollers are set out. Examples of software solutions are given in order to use them in practical work. In relation to microcontrollers of the AVR family, the issues of broadcasting and cross-broadcasting programs written in C/C ++ languages are considered.
