Mathematical statistics

The book is based on materials of the course of lectures and special courses that have been read by the authors for a number of years at the faculty of applied mathematics at the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics and at the Institute of Cryptography, Communications and Informatics of the Academy of the FSB of Russia. The material presented in the book fully corresponds to the program on the mathematical statistics of the GOS curriculum in the specialty "Applied Mathematics". The presentation of the material is carried out at a level available to students of technical universities, to understand it, knowledge of the basics of classical mathematical analysis, linear algebra and probability theory read on the initial semester of the university program in mathematics.
The basic elements of modern statistical theory are presented, the emphasis is on the study of the optimality of relevant statistical procedures and their practical implementation using computer technology. All sections of the book are equipped with tasks.
The material of the book can be used to form special courses on mathematical statistics, individual work with students and self -education. The book can also be useful to students of universities of natural specialties, graduate students and scientists who use probabilistic and statistical methods in their studies
