Mathematical aspects of genetics

The book discusses the mathematical aspects of population genetics.
Based on the Law of Hardy -Winberg, a standard approach to the study of the problems of population genetics is set out. Along with the standard approach, the need for separate study of the genetics of the pedigree and genetics of populations, which are a set of genealogies, is shown.
The pedigree should be investigated by the methods of discrete mathematics on a discrete time scale, which is determined by a change in generations. When studying populations, it is necessary to move on to a continuous scale of time, continuous functions, while the law of Hardy -Winberg is recorded in the form of a differential equation of the second order.
The transition to continuous functions made it possible to obtain new, non-trivial results in population genetics, in particular, to approach the problems of mutations, neoplasms, population migration under various conditions, to identify the non-linear nature of inbreeding and natural selection, etc.
