Sustainable development not only includes the transition to renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, united by the concept of “green” energy, but it is considered much wider - as a transition to a “green” economy that slows down the climate, including adaptation to its negative manifestations. A special role in the legal support of the green economy belongs to acts of international law, the best world practices and the judicial mechanism for considering climatic disputes. This comparative legal study allows us to identify modern world trends in the formation of the so-called “green” law and justice, to also show their influence on similar processes in Russia, to prove that the initial legal framework in the country already exists and its further development will stimulate the energy transition in the direction of the decarbonization economy.
