The course “Law and Economics” plays an increasingly important role not only in legal education, it is also read by students specializing in the field of economics, political science, philosophy and other disciplines. The reader’s attention is proposed to introduce into an economic analysis of legal norms and institutions, which is understandable to any student familiar with the basics of microeconomics.
The textbook of R. Kuther and T. Ulena has a flexible structure, begins with an introductory review of economic tools, as well as rights and legal institutions. Each of the five main areas of law: property, torts, contracts, trial and crime - are dedicated to two chapters.
Studying the course will allow students to understand how microeconomic theory can be used to critical assessment of law and state policy
