Intellectual property in the global economy arose at the stage of the industrial stage of development and was associated with the adoption in the late XVIII - mid -19th century. regulatory acts in the field of legal protection and protecting the results of intellectual activity and means of individualization. Intellectual property is considered as a system, including interconnected interdisciplinary institutions of its management.
Based on the analysis of statistical data and expert assessments of specialists, an extremely low share of the implementation and use of the protected results of intellectual activity in the Russian economy was identified, and disproportions in the development of relevant institutions were identified. The theoretical and practical issues of synergetics and intellectual property as a controlled system in the Russian economy are considered and recommendations for its development are given. The issues of using digital technologies in the intellectual property management system are considered.
