In the work on the basis of the publications of INION of the USSR Academy of Sciences, an array of philosophical and methodological literature published in the Soviet Union was revealed during the formation of the problems of the study of the concepts of "information" as a general scientific and "computer science" as a separate area of research. More than 1100 publications were systematized in 15 sections. The publication is equipped with an author’s index, indicators of abstracts, monographs, collections and periodicals. The application presents the materials of the ideological discussion of the 1950s and the encyclopedic articles of the 1970-1980s.
