Textbook "General Engineering in Biotechnology (seminars)" was prepared in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard in the specialty 020400 "Biology", the authors - G. A. Zhuravlev, S.E. Moskalenko, E. E. Andronov, T. V. Matveeva, E. A. Andreeva. The manual has been based on seminars held for more than 10 years at the Faculty of Biology of St. Petersburg State University in the early 4th year of undergraduate. Seminars are an addition to the course "General Engineering and Biotechnology". The authors examined in detail the main techniques of genetic engineering, each lesson contains tasks (with solutions) and issues. The manual is illustrated by high -quality drawings that reflect and complement the text. The manual is relevant, since such literature is practically absent in Russian.
