The monograph summarizes the results of 25-year research and develops scientific approaches to solving the problem of restoring vulnerable northern ecosystems. The book has a versatile analysis of the laws of primary sucalism on technological habitats arising after the complete mechanical destruction of the soil-lowering cover. For the first time, data on the flora and vegetation of such habitats in 10 areas of forest -tundra, northern and southern hypoicoarctic tundra were collected and analyzed - from Vorkuta to Chukotka. The author developed a unified classification of the vegetation of the technogenic habitats of the Far North of Russia, the syntax diversity in different areas and conditions was considered, groups of species-dominants that differ in environmental-valine behavior during the primary sucession were described, a methodology for typifying the vegetation cover pattern was proposed and features of the development of the spatial structure of plant communities were revealed , the patterns of the formation of vegetation cover in the ecotopically heterogeneous territory were established and the polyvarian model of primary sucksession was created. The book critically analyzes the extensive domestic and foreign literature, the data obtained by the author, expand and adjust the ideas about the self -healing of vegetation in the technogenically violated territories of the Far North. The results of the studies can predict the processes of regeneration of vegetation after violations and serve as the scientific basis of modern biological reclamation. Methods developed by the author will find the use of anthropogenic vegetation when monitoring the dynamics of anthropogenic and the assessment of the restoration of anthropogenically disturbed ecosystems.
The book is designed for biologists, geobotanics and environmentalists, it is also important for specialists interested in scientifically based methods of biological reclamation of violated lands
