A monographic study is devoted to one of the significant problems of modern criminology - the relationship of biological and social in criminal behavior. On the basis of the analysis of numerous sources (for the most part foreign), the historical aspect of the development of biocriminology (including the search for a natural criminal) has been identified, the importance of genetic testing in the development of modern criminal policy was determined, the features of involving genetic data in the lawsuit process, and the role of Eugenics in the formation of Eugenics was analyzed. Measures to combat crime, various measures of a medical nature (sterilization, lobotomy, thalamotomy, etc) are represented, used for criminological purposes.
