The textbook is devoted to emergency therapy as an independent field of medicine. The most common urgent syndromes are described: acute respiratory failure, acute cardiovascular deficiency, chest pain, coma states, acute pulmonary and gastrointestinal bleeding, etc. Data on diseases and pathological conditions that cause the development of one or another syndrome are briefly given , their clinic, etiology and pathogenesis are highlighted, as well as the most characteristic changes revealed by conventional laboratory and instrumental studies. The authors of the manual pay their main attention to the doctor’s actions to provide emergency assistance, taking into account modern standards.
