The monograph presents a material characterizing the evolutionary development of the infrastructure of land transport, and an analysis of the technical and economic problems and stages of this development is carried out. At the same time, attention is focused on the railway infrastructure, but the general transport issues are sufficiently considered, first of all, the socio-economic significance of transport infrastructure.
