The book is dedicated to cyanobacteria, the oldest inhabitants of our planet. Distinguished by special vitality, they exist in all regions of the Earth under various climatic conditions. Cyanobacteria play a significant role in the ecology of the biosphere, seas, oceans, other reservoirs, agricultural ecology, geoecology, etc. In the book, materials about the structure and metabolism of cyanobacteria, their systematics and identification methods are summarized.
