Information from the field of kinematics and the dynamics of lever mechanisms and mechanical transmissions is set out. The theoretical foundations of the resistance of materials, methods for calculating the strength, stiffness, durability of the most common parts and components of mechanisms and machines are presented. Practical skills are given in the construction of some machines and units that are common to various areas of engineering. Examples of solving problems of the theory of mechanisms and machines: analysis and synthesis of mechanisms, structural, kinematic and power analysis of lever mechanisms and electromechanical drives of machines are considered and explained. Examples of individual sections of coursework and course projects using graphic, graphoanalytic and analytical methods are given.
