The monograph is, firstly, a theoretical description of the search for the ontological and anthropological grounds of shame and the analysis of such options for understanding the essence (foundation) of shame, as divine, social and biological. Secondly, the monograph presents a substantiation of the choice of an option connecting the origin of shame with the characteristics of the person himself. Thirdly, the author is justified by the idea that in the definition given by the prison Diadoch, “he looks up at what he looks at-anthropos”-both words (“looking” and “up”) indicate the essential properties of “man ashamed, for just such a look characterizes the ashamed, just like that (“from the bottom up”) he - according to his own well -being - looks at the ashant. And, fourthly, the monograph contains a description of the most striking representatives of the “culture of shame”, that is, it gives a description of those types of personality, the allocation of which is carried out on the basis of the relationship of representatives of these types to shame.
