In the book "Ant. Family. The colony "tells about the social life of ants and about the place of each ant in it. The principles of family organization, its composition and life are considered: how the actions of individual ants are coordinated, food is distributed, which ensures the integrity of the family. Much attention is paid to the supra -family organization: the formation of colonies and federations. Some chapters are devoted to the development of socially lifestyle among ants, as well as their meaning in forest biogeocenosis and the use of red forest ants to protect the forest.
The author of the book is Anatoly Alexandrovich Zakharov, a well -known Mirmeecologist, Doctor of Biological Sciences, leading researcher at the Institute of Problems of Ecology and Evolution named after A.N. Severtsov of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
