The fairy tale "The Scarlet Flower" by S. T. Aksakov was first heard from the housekeeper Pelageya and later recorded by him, poetically retelling it in his own way. For many years now, this tale of the power of selfless love has been read in schools, adapted into plays, made into films and cartoons. The book also includes Russian folk tales ("Lipunya and Baba Yaga", "Koschei the Immortal") and original tales ("The Capricious Woman" by V. I. Dal and "The Magic Ring" by A. P. Platonov). The fairy tales are presented in full without any abridgements. Illustrated by I. Tsygankov. For younger school-age children.
