This fascinating book is dedicated to the everyday life of Scandinavia during the Viking Age. In it, Anders Magnus Strinnholm made one of the first scientific attempts in history to describe and understand the realities of the lifestyle and customs of early medieval times, analyze pagan religion, and ancient laws. Drawing on sagas and chronicles, he was able to describe both the state structure and the domestic habits of the northern people. Much of the research on the history of the lives of ordinary people, which truly gained momentum only in the 20th century, began with this work.
