Scalpel of the mind and wings of imagination: Scientific discourses in English culture of the early modern period

The book is devoted to the history of the formation of science in the second half of the XVI - beginning of the XVIII century. And the cultural contexts in which this happened. The focus of attention is related by the phenomena: the scientific method, proved theories, an affordable language, open scientific communities and the reaction of citizens to demonstration of experiments, public lectures and read research. Thanks to the availability of scientific texts and experiments at this time, such abilities of the soul as vision, imagination and memory, which have become the basis of new knowledge, ensured confidence in experience, new forms of broadcasting and maintaining information. There is a change in the status of science, scientist, scientific and educational institutions and scientific practices, which led to the mutual influence of free arts in the field of language, concepts, and ideas. This gave rise to a poetic reflection on the new picture of the world and the desire to enter new knowledge into their experience.
