Emilio Salgari (1862-1911) - a renowned writer, whom contemporaries called 'the Italian Jules Verne', who created about two hundred novels and stories. Among these numerous works, shining with bright imagination and captivating plots, two pirate cycles gained the greatest popularity: 'The Pirates of the Antilles', about the adventures of the Black Corsair and his loyal followers, as well as a series of novels under the general title 'The Pirates of Malaysia', about the noble bandit Sandokan. This edition includes two long-awaited novels about the further adventures of the brave pirate: 'Sandokan's Revenge' (in a new translation) and 'Mompachem's Return' (for the first time in Russian). In these works, Sandokan, together with his faithful friends, prepares to avenge his mortal enemy, who destroyed his family, and also to snatch his native island of Mompachem from the clutches of the English. For the first time in Russia, the works are accompanied by a complete set of illustrations by the famous Italian artist Alberto della Valle.
