Have you been to children"s toys for a long time? Look, for the sake of curiosity. And you will see that the shelves are littered with all kinds of plush monsters of foreign origin, the designers of "Lego", and space units. If you ask to show our Russian parsley, then, at best, they will offer some option of the Italian Harlequino, and in the worst, they will say that this is a very rare toy. The same thing awaits you if you want to buy a simple wooden pyramid or an ordinary wooden boat - of those that Russian children have been launched over for centuries for centuries and rivers. It would seem that everything is clear: Plastmass was replaced by a tree (and the tree, probably, will soon become an unacceptable luxury for Russia), instead of simple boats, ocean liners and military cruisers appeared, instead of primitive aircraft - spaceships, instead of non -bonfly, free -haired traditional traditional traditional. Russian dolls are long -legged Barbie beauties. Progress is good! But let me ask where our Russian toys went? Of these, only nesting dolls remained, and those (judging by the price) are intended for foreign tourists - as a souvenir from Russia. The book "Russian toys, games, fun" tells about the history of the emergence of toys in Rus", about the "divine" origin and the ritual significance of horses and balls, dolls and straws and straw birds. Let our children find out what dolls their great -great -grandmothers played, on which horses they jumped and what soldiers their great -great -grandfathers fought. Separate chapters are devoted to folk games and fun, now undeservedly forgotten: "five pebbles", turquoilles, stilts, games in grandmothers and bast shoes. I really want to hope that this book will help to resurrect Russian folk toys and revive the "lost in time" and fun.
