The book "Russian Symphony" by Metropolitan of St. Petersburg and Ladoga John (Snychev) combines two of his works: "Autocracy of the Spirit" and "Cathedral Russia," which first saw the light during the lifetime of the Hierarch, the first in 1994, and the second in 1995. According to the author's intention, when brought together, they represent an Orthodox historiosophical concept of Russian history, Russian destiny, Russian religious chosenness, and therefore since the late 90s, the publishing house "Tsarskoye Delo" has been printing them under one cover. Since then, the book has undergone more than ten reprints but is still in demand by readers trying to make sense of everything happening with Russia and to determine their place in modern history. The words of Bishop John are addressed to those who care about the fate of the Fatherland, who cannot accept the desecration of their sacred places, who believe that God's boundless mercy will give us another chance for the revival of Holy Russia in all the glory of its sovereign greatness and Orthodox piety.
