The monograph considers one of the eternal and enduring problems of Russian thought, which is associated with the philosophical understanding of the nature of the Russian state, its past, present and future. The focus of the authors of the monograph is still not enough that remains insufficiently revealed the deep interconnection of the ontological essence of the Russian statehood with the concrete historical forms of the Russian state - the Moscow kingdom, the Peter"s Empire, the Soviet State, the Russian Federation. The key role of the era of the Moscow kingdom is shown from the point of view of the formation of various political strategies of the Russian state in subsequent periods of history, the role of Russian bureaucracy as a guide and as a brake of reforms, the possible ways of transforming Russian statehood in the 21st century and the future of Russian civilization.
