The monograph is devoted to the corporate culture of Russian professors of the first half of the XIX century. The study was conducted on the basis of the documents first introduced into the scientific circulation of documents from the archives of the Kazan, Moscow, Kharkov universities and the Ministry of Folk Enlightenment. The book consists of two parts: analytical text and publication of sources.
The authors consider the Professor community of Russia as a self-regulating mechanism.
