Russian Necropolis of Grand Duke Nicholas Mikhailovich

The book discusses the history of the preparation and publication of a series of documentary publications carried out on the initiative and to the means of the Grand Duke Nikolai Mikhailovich and dedicated to the necropolis of pre-revolutionary Russia - "Moscow Necropolis" (3 tons, 1907-1908), "Petersburg necropolis" (4 t ., 1912-1913), "Russian provincial necropolis" (t. 1,1914), "Russian necropolis in foreign edges" (vol. 1,1915) Based on numerous archival materials, the stages of this large-scale scientific project are traced, biographical information on its participants are given, the source and methodological features of published publications are characterized. For the first time in historiography, unpublished materials for "Russian provincial necropolis" are analyzed in detail, their attribution is carried out (see Appendix 1), scientific and methodological principles of their publication are proposed
