Russian monasteries. Middle and Lower Volga

The fourth book from the & quot, Russian monasteries & quot, devoted to the current monastic monastery of the Middle and Lower Volga region, seems to us that the monastic life in Russian land is being revived, despite all the obstacles that stand on this path.
Among the Volga monasteries there are ancient, based in the XVI century, such as Kazan Uspensky Zilantov or Holy Assumption Ufa, - and there are very young, & quot, born & quot, in the last decade of our church life. But all the monastery, regardless of their age serve the cause of spiritual education, learning, everyday bumps of thousands of believers of Orthodox people, the missionary enlightenment of those who have lost or just begins to reveal faith.
Many monastery are associated with the names of the outstanding Russian church devotees: the abbot of the Holy Assumption Uriman monastery from 1804 to 1810 was Archimandrite Philaret (Drozdov), subsequently Metropolitan Moscow, the Great Church and Public Actor, found to the Church to the Famine of Saints, and The Great Optina Older Rev. Amvrosius helped the device of the Akhtyrsky Women"s Monastery.
Surprisingly the fate of the holyting monastery in Volgograd, who during the Stalingrad battle (even being & quot, is abolished & quot,) continued to save and spiritually ocked people! The sheltered walls rewritten from the hands of Psalms and prayers, prayed before surviving icons.
Orthodox monasteries always helped our people, taught, enlightened, defended themselves from attacks. They are an integral part of Russian life, the Russian soul. I believe that the heart of the Russian man is responsible, as before, and therefore will continue to flourish in our land revived monastic monastery
