In this manual, Russian literature is presented as part of world culture. The book discusses the processes in the history of European culture, which have increasing the domestic literature, characterize such areas as classicism, romanticism, realism. A significant part of the material is devoted to the creative discoveries of Russian classics: in the image of the inner world of heroes surrounding their world, in the skill of the composition. The basic concepts of theoretical poetics are characterized.
