The teaching manual is based on the idea of a problematic study of the history of Russian literary criticism. The material of the late XIX - early XX centuries: the sociological aspects of criticism (strategies for the creative behavior of critics, the role of criticism in creating writers, new forms of criticism), its genre palette, some features of the poetics of critical texts of the Silver Age, the problem of the interpretative activity of criticism are considered. The manual includes topics for independent work, as well as a detailed list of sources and scientific literature. The application presents texts of articles taken from various magazines and newspapers of the late XIX - early XX centuries. Most of the texts are the recovery of rare and little -known work.
