In this textbook, the syntax course is set out in accordance with the existing structural and semantic base of the subject. The manual helps to comprehend theoretically learned rules of phrases, proposals and the essence of linguistic relations between the components of phrases, proposals, clarify at the stage of generalization of their ideas about the structural and semantic base of the formation of individual types of simple and complex proposals, as well as to understand the patterns of text generation. The book provides an accessible explanation of categories inherent in the course of Russian syntax. Illustrative material was selected not only for the sake of example, but also to enrich the language and speech resources of students. The author used excerpts from the works of the classics of Russian literature, L.N. Tolstoy, I.S. Turgenev, I.A. Bunina, A.I. Kuprick, as well as N.M. Karamzina, V.A. Astafieva, M.M. Privain and others.
