The manual was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the new state educational standard of higher vocational education in the specialty 032900 - Russian language and literature. It presents sections of morfemics, morphology and word formation, describes the word formation of the names of the nouns, the names of the adjectives, verbs and the adverbs. The material is considered taking into account the tradition and new theoretical studies in the field of morfemics, morphology and word formation. The manual introduces various points of view existing in linguistics on the same problem. In cases where laws operating in modern language cannot give explanations to some facts, synchronous lighting of language phenomena includes elements of historical commenting. Theoretical provisions in the manual are illustrated by a large number of examples, which are analyzed by various in the morphorem, morphological and word-forming relationship. The analysis is carried out according to the schemes and is accompanied by a detailed comment.
