The diagnostic work is aimed at students and is an integral part of the textbook on the Russian language for the 6th grade by authors M. T. Baranova, T. A. Ladyzhenskaya, L. A. Trostentsova, and others. The collection includes three test variants on all sections of the Russian language included in the curriculum for sixth graders and corresponds to the structure of the textbook. The tests allow determining the results of mastering the current material on the Russian language, as well as the material covered in the 5th grade and included in the revision course.
