The textbook is part of the educational and methodological kits for the Russian language curriculum in primary general education schools. It is created in accordance with all the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard (FSES) approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education dated May 31, 2021, No. 287. The feature of the textbook is the focus on developing language, communicative, linguacultural, and informational competencies, as well as the formation of functional literacy. This approach creates conditions for improving students' thinking and speech activities, forming meta-subject skills and ways of working. The didactic material of the textbook is presented against a broad cultural and historical background, which contributes to involving students in the cultural and linguistic field of Russian, Russian, and universal human culture, fostering a valuable attitude towards the Russian language as a carrier of culture, as the state language of the Russian Federation, and as a language of interethnic communication among the peoples of Russia.
