The thing is, the author of the stories included in this collection is a profoundly Russian person. Nothing occupies a writer as much as the past and present of his homeland, views on the future of Russia, but most importantly, the Russian himself. In turn, from this point come partly funny, partly sad escapades towards this mysterious, unique phenomenon among the multitude of peoples inhabiting the planet Earth. From the author's point of view, the phenomenon of the Russian person is far from being fully explored by literature, and even on such a seemingly simple question: why does the West not like us - there is still no answer.
