His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II once called the Ob-Irtysh North the Russian Golgotha, because it was here that many priests and laypeople, exiled here from all over the vast Soviet Union, became new martyrs and confessors, shedding their blood for Christ and His Orthodox Church. Of course, among them were residents of our Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra. Discovering their names, studying their lives, establishing their martyrdom and confessional feat, glorifying them as saints - this is our sacred duty to them. And the book you are holding in your hands is a significant contribution to this noble and very necessary work for our Church.
