The academic "arch of Russian folklore" is the most complete and philologically verified compendium of the texts of Russian traditional folklore. The first series of the arch - "epics", reuniting all the records of the national epic epos of the XVIII-XX centuries, consists of 25 volumes drawn up by the regional principle (each volume reflects the repertoire of a certain geographic region) This method of filing the material allows you to show the features of each local tradition: the specifics of the interpretation of the well-known plots, features of the image of the heroes, the system of artistic techniques, the art of the obstellers.
