The book presents the final materials of the International Conference, held in February 2007 in the RGU. In the articles of leading Russian and American researchers, the prospects for studying the history of bilateral relations are planned, the characteristics of the perpetratulations are considered, the origins of long-term American myths about Russia and Russian myths about the United States are considered. The publication focused on the expansion of an interdisciplinary approach and the search for new research practices to use not only verbal, but also graphic texts, indicates the readiness of scientists on both sides of the Atlantic to open dialogue and cooperation in the framework of joint scientific and educational projects.
