The authors of this book are world famous scientists. Richard Pipes is an American historian and philosopher, Arnold Toynbee is an English historian, a culturologist and sociologist, Francis Fukuyama - an American political scientist, philosopher and historian.
All of them in their works have repeatedly turned to the history of Russia, the features of its formation and development. In their opinion, the "Special Russian Way" of Evolution led to the fact that Russia from the very first centuries of its existence turned out to be isolated from the Western world and was doomed to loneliness. This is confirmed by many examples from its past, including those that “fall out” from official Russian historiography, as well as modern political events (R. Pipes writes more details about them)
