The book attempts to comprehensively explore the economic development of Russia in the 20th century. For the first time in domestic economic literature, the dynamics of national wealth, industrial development (including energy and construction), agriculture, human capital, natural resources, and scientific-technical potential are characterized by continuous statistical series. Separate chapters are dedicated to population issues and the development of science. The author thoroughly analyzes a century of reforming the domestic economy, particularly focusing on its moral-ethical and socio-psychological aspects. Additionally, the author presents their fundamental views on the composition and functions of elements of the modern system of managing the national economy, as well as outlines paths for further development of economic theory and applied economic research, linking them to current issues in economic practice.
