The focus of the authors - prominent Russian and Western scientists - is the development of an imagological methodology for literary analysis, in which the image of the country, region, city of Russia and (or) the West takes on a matrix function. The research is interdisciplinary and is carried out at the intersection of literary studies, cultural studies, philosophy, and historiosophy. A special place is occupied by the problem of imagological (receptive) norm and its modifications in the disputes between Slavophiles and Westernizers in Russia and in similar directions in the West. For literary scholars, teachers, graduate students of philological faculties, as well as for readers interested in the problems of the methodology of literary analysis of works.
