The book presents the concept of modernity (modern) in its appendix to social science. The theoretical issues of the national state, nation, democracy, freedom, post-industrial economy, and related qualities of developed modern societies associated with this are considered. Special attention is paid to the thoroughness of the logical study of the concepts used. The resulting frame was applied to the analysis of current social processes in Russia using various kinds of statistical data and data of sociological research. The problems of transformation of Russia into the National Democratic State, the development of the post-industrial economy, the launch of the cycle of economic and social innovation in the country, as well as the problems of the Russian demography and development of human capital in the country.
