The ability to provide assistance is an art. Like any other art, it requires skill that can be learned and improved upon. The person offering help must feel the one they are assisting and understand what is happening with them. Additionally, they must understand if help is appropriate and possible for that person, and be aware of the limits of their abilities and the consequences of their actions.
This book is based on materials from training seminars by Bert Hellinger, the creator of the systemic family constellation method. It includes numerous examples of short-term therapy using various approaches.
The book is primarily aimed at those whose profession involves helping others: doctors, therapists, employees of various social institutions, teachers, priests, and consultants. However, 'help' is a universal concept, so reading the book will be beneficial for a wide range of people, including all parents.
