Roman Andreevich Rudenko was the Prosecutor General of the USSR from 1953 to 1981 - no one or after him held this post for so long - 27 years. Rudenko took part in many high -profile processes. In 1953 he conducted an investigation in the case of Beria. In 1960 - he acted as the main prosecutor at the process of F. Powers.
But the main thing R. Rudenko was the "process of the century" - the Nuremberg Tribunal, on which he acted as an prosecutor from the USSR.
Biography of Roman Rudenko - in a sense, the biography of the Soviet prosecutor’s office, the creator and at the same time the "product" of which it was. Roman Rudenko served the law - no matter how this law was - believing that lawlessness gives rise to much more serious and terrible consequences. In his place at that time, someone else could well have been. And it is still unknown if he could make less bad or more good
