Life is in full swing in Cedar Cove. Six months ago, under mysterious circumstances, Daniel, Grace Sherman's husband, disappeared. The last time he was seen was with another woman. He couldn't be found, and Grace decided that Dan had cowardly run away from his family. Her daughter Marilyn and friend Olivia did their best to help Grace start a new life. Fate provided a convenient opportunity: a waitress at a cafe mixed up credit cards, and Grace had to meet Cliff Harding, a very kind and courteous man, whether she wanted to or not. However, she is not ready to reciprocate his feelings. Olivia is also facing challenges: her mother Charlotte is getting weaker by the day, and her friend is jealous of her ex-husband.
