Ronald David Lang (1927–1989) - one of the most famous figures of the 1960s and the most popular psychiatrist of the century after Freud and Jung. His view on the nature of madness and revolutionary activities forever changed the face of psychiatry. His books, published in millions of copies and translated into more than twenty languages, are read like novels and manifestos, and his bright individuality still sparks debates among biographers and critics. The first Russian-language biography of Lang, based on original sources, recreates the canvas of his life and work, the main ideas of his works and projects, presenting his figure as a unity of multiple images - psychiatrist and antipsychiatrist, philosopher and social critic, guru and revolutionary.
