At first, this narrative may seem like an ordinary illustration of the burdened events. But is it a great Russian history, that’s the worst war and its harsh milestone - the blockade of Leningrad, does not deserve such an experience - the restoration of details? Surprisingly different! The farther, the more stubborn the book begins to live according to artistic laws, the tangible our involvement in distant battles, and finally we notice how a quiet glow begins to emanate from some pages, as from lake water, in the depths of which treasures rest. The heroes of the book were able to find happiness in the difficult circumstances of the war. In Sergey Medyanov and Katya Yasina, and in the thousands of our compatriots, the love should have grown up that, I think, and protopted the ice of the blockade, and led us to a common great victory. But does our heart sometimes find himself in the blockade? And how much work needs to be attached, attention to a loved one, even sacrifice, so that the soul once chilled: the blockade is broken!
