"Strengthery Intercessor" is a collection of historical novels of a famous Orthodox writer, laureate of the Patriarchal Literary Prize, Archpriest Nikolai Agafonov.
The first of them was based on a famous wonderful event that occurred in the Moscow temple in front of the icon of the Mother of God "Sright my sorrows. The story "Strenger"s Executioner" talks about finding the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The story "Yermogen" - about that time of the life of the future holy martyr Patriarch Yermogen, when he, while still the Kazan Metropolitan, was persecuted from False Dmitry I for the exposure of the impostor. Another story says about the feat of the Protopop of the Novgorod Sophia Cathedral of Amos, the "Last Great Novgorod. The final story "Red Baptism" recalls the very recent terrible time of Soviet persecution of Orthodoxy.
